737-28867: Radeon HD™ 2xxx Series - DVI-HDMI Adapter does not work

​This article refers to the loss of HDMI output for either audio or video when using the ATI DVI-HDMI adapter as a standalone purchase from the online- ATI Store.

Symptoms:

The DVI-HDMI adapter (Part Number: 6140063500G) purchased from the online ATI store does not work with Graphics By ATI Radeon™ HD 2900, Radeon™ HD 2600 and Radeon™ HD 2400 boards.

Solution:

In order to enable HDMI support on the Radeon™ HD 2000 series board through the DVI connector, AMD has designed unique DVI-HDMI adapters that are only available through certified vendor(s) selected by AMD to authorized partners.

The Online Shop ATI is offering the DVI-HDMI adapter (Part Number: 6141054300G) as a replacement to lost or damaged adapters ONLY. It can not be sold separately. This adapter will not enable HDMI through the DVI output of any Radeon™ HD 2000 series board; it will only work if your product was originally shipped with a DVI-HDMI adapter.
